Why I Created Author Spark
I created Author Spark because I remember how I always wanted to write a book as a child… but I had to wait over 20 years until I finally saw my stories in print. It was such an incredible feeling when it finally happened that I wanted to help children reach that milestone earlier.
At Author Spark, every book is crafted by me – no AI text or generic templates. I shape each story to reflect your child’s imagination, voice and creative spark – whether they’re dreaming up wacky wizards, racing robots or baking magical cupcakes. Their ideas have the power to ignite something wonderful.
Whether your child writes it all themselves, builds it with help or simply shares a few imaginative ideas me to shape, the result is always the same – a one-of-a-kind, personalised book made just for them – a celebration of their creativity and a powerful confidence boost!
I spent years as an English teacher, encouraging a love of reading and writing in the classroom. I’ve written everything from fantasy novels to school plays a children’s book series inspired by historical landmarks – but nothing beats the joy of helping a young author bring their first story to life.
Children are endlessly imaginative – and their stories are too! That’s what makes Author Spark so special: every book is as original, quirky and full of wonder as the child behind it.
And now, as a dad to a little girl of my own, I feel more passionate than ever about helping children feel proud of who they are and what they create.
