Your child uses the story pack to bring their story to life with prompts, drawings and writing.

When your child is finished, send us an email with what they’ve done. We’ll get busy polishing it, formatting it and turning it into a real book.

When we’re finished, an eBook will be sent straight to your email address to enjoy straight away. A paperback version will arrive later by post.

Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does It Take?
Once your child has finished their story, send it back to us and we’ll start turning it into a book. Timelines vary depending on the package:
- Young Author: 3-5 working days
- Tale Teller: 7-10 working days
- Story Spark: 10-14 working days
We’ll email you the eBook as soon as it’s ready. For printed books, please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery. This depends entirely on our third-party printers, but we aim to deliver as quickly as possible.
Can I Just Get an eBook?
Yes! Every package offers a digital-only option.
Can My Child Draw Pictures for the Book?
Absolutely. Your child’s drawings can be included inside the book – just note that all interior illustrations will be printed in black and white. If your child wants to design the front cover, they’re more than welcome to use full colour.

Will the Book Credit My Child?
Yes! Your child will be listed as the sole author or with a “Story by [Name]” credit, depending on the package. No other names will appear in the book.

How Long Will the Book Be?
The length of each book depends on the package and age of your child – older children can handle longer stories, while younger children are better suited to shorter, more focused ones. Of course, final word counts might vary depending on the detail your child provides, but here’s a general guide:
Young Author books are as long as your child would like – up to 30,000 words. After all, they’re doing nearly all the writing!
Tale Teller books are around 4,000-5,000 words – about the length of Roald Dahl favourites like The Magic Finger or The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me.
Story Spark books are around 1,500-2,000 words – similar in length to Mog the Forgetful Cat or The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark.
Do You Use AI?
No. We do not use AI-generated text to create any part of your child’s story. All stories are created and refined by a real human writer, based entirely on your child’s own words and ideas. If you would like to include custom images based on your child’s descriptions for either the interior or cover, we can use AI to help generate illustrations or enhance your child’s own drawings – but only with your permission. This is entirely optional and only done by request.
